Hello April

Happy April to you all :)

April means it it now Spring, and nearly summer!

Time to drag you pretty dresses out, throw on my sandals and get some sun.

I always like reading in the sun, and I would like to highly recommend this book to you all.

The Dalai Lama's Cat by David Michie.

An amazing book about Buddhism through the eyes of a young cat learning about life.

It really made me think, and gave me a new outlook on things. I realised through many paragraphs in this novel that in general we take a lot of things for granted, and we really should 'stop and smell the roses' as they say.

Michie has a few other book out, one I intend on being my summer hide away book while on holiday, Buddhism for busy people. I look forward to reading it.

I apologise for brief posts lately, however my laptop is currently out of action and I have to type these on my IPad which I am not to quick at :)

How does a what's in my handbag post sound??

See you soon...enjoy the sun

Lush Love

I felt the need to write a brief review on some Lush products I have recently purchased, and how my daily facial routine has changed for the better.

I have been using Garnier Micellar Water since December, and I have say it really does remove make up well, and leave your skin feeling really clean and fresh.

I only bought Lush - Eau Roma Water a few days ago to add to my routine, which is a very gentle toner made from natural ingredients, and I was a little apprehensive, but hopeful.

My skin is very sensitive to most products, and I haven't used a toner in years, as they always make my skin red and sore, however this one is really lovely and made my skin amazing in a very short time.

I'm genuinely impressed at how nice it has made my skin in only 4 days.

The lovely ladies in Lush, Chelmsford, gave me great advise and helped me pick this out to try, after they found me looking at their toner tabs that you add to hot water for facial steaming, and I am very pleased with my latest purchase.

It smells lovely as it is made with lavender water, and you only need to used a few sprays so I'm sure it will last for ages.

My Mr has also recently become a lover of Lush, after I bought him Kalamazoo, a wonderful beard wash - I recommend it to any beardy man out there on his testimony :)

My latest little treat is also to buy myself a new bath bomb every month to try out.

Last month I used the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

Which was lovely and bubbely, and smelt, although not very strong, quite pretty.

This months bath bomb is Space Girl which I am looking forward to using as it has glitter on it :)

I will write about it soon and let you all know how long the glitter lasts hehe.

If you find something lovely at Lush, or some where else as lovely, please let me know!

Will write soon

I have missed you all

Hello all.

It has been far too long since I have blogged, lots of things have happened during this time, however i am now settled once again and ready to blog.

My hair it stupidly long now, and my dress sense if probably weirder than ever, but that's me.

I have been on my treasure hunts, and bought far too much stuff that I want but don't need.

I tried to learn to surf...I fell in a lot so will try again this summer.

And I am truly looking forward to this year.

I know we are already at March, nearly April, but this year feels good and I hope to share it with you all.

Hugs

Treasure hunting

What I wore......

Black spotty crop top - vintage * Cream vest top - New Look * Acid skinny jeans - Primark * Pixie boots - George at Asda * Hand bag - had it too long to remember.

I went treasure hunting on Sunday with my mum and brother at the boot fair :)

Bought some lovely things which I will post a photo of tomorrow.
I found a vintage flash gun for my SLR, a vintage camera for only £1, some spotting heels, retro postcards, cherry hair slides, some daisy beads for my 'pandora', a vintage leather strapped watch and a mickey mouse strap for me camera :)

All in all a good days finds.

Here's a peek at a couple of the stalls.......

I really wanted the light fitting, but its just too big

Pretty stall, filled with bunting, jams and hand made goodies :)

Hope your all enjoying the nice weather, and looking forward to the Long weekend

Black, white & .... red.

White silk sleeveless shirt - charity shop
Zip up skirt - H&M
Leather jacket - Dorothy Perkins
Lace up boots - Vintage
Locket - Topshop
Brooch - Juicy Couture

Hello all, Just a quick 'what I wore' post, which sadly now has gone back to involving jackets!!
What happened to the nice weather??

Also I would like to introduce you all to Betty.....my new car :)

Isn't she pretty. I have had her for a few weeks, but haven't had a chance to show her off yet lol.

I did however spend this afternoon polishing her though, hence her shininess, it was well worth the work, even if it did turn me temporarily red.....

Spell it out for me

Well, today was my first day in my new job......it went brilliantly :)

And after a fantastic weekend spent with my best friends, this month has really kicked off to a great start!

Moving back into blog land, I have recently found a liking for spelling.....let me explain.
I really rather like decorative pieces that spell out a lovely word, which may have just been the worse description ever so take alook at the photos I took in Cambridge. 'BAKE' is china and 'HOME' is fabric.

Pretty little things, so I may attempt to make one somehow, all I need is to think of a word to use....?

Oh, one more photo for you, this did make me giggle.....

....that's right, socks that say I heart Primark.....classic giggle stuff.

17

I have unknowingly developed a new found love for Boots make up range, 17.

I say unknowingly because, it just seems that when I have gone out to buy a replacment of something, I end up with 17 in my make up bag.

My most recent venture being thier photo flawless mascara, that has a tint of pearlescent colour, to match to your eye colour, mine is blue, and this gives your eyes a bit of sparkle.

These are the bits I have in my make up bag at the moment.

Clockwise from top left. Extra fair concealer, even tone correction cream, photo flawless lashes, soft eye liner pen! and pink grapefruit nail polish.
Anyone else found a love for this make up?
